Alfresco Dining Applications

Documentation Required:

Alfresco Dining Application form, 2 sets of plans including:

  • a plan and specification of the proposed eating area on a scale of 1:50 showing
    the (position of tables, chairs and structures in the proposed eating area; and
    the location and dimensions of the proposed eating area
  • a plan and specification of the proposed eating area and the area incorporated within 30 metres beyond the boundaries of the proposed eating area on a scale of 1:500 showing the location of all carriageways, footpaths, public facilities, public places, streets and street alignments.
  • a colour photograph or photographs of the tables, chairs and other structures intended to be in the proposed eating area
    the applicant must arrange adequate public liability insurance cover with an underwriter approved by the Chief Executive Officer. The policy must be for no less than $10 million.

Fees:

Application Fee: $107.00 - Payment must accompany the licence.

Licence Transfer Fee - $65.00 - Providing no changes to the proposed alfresco area.

Fees for the use of public space:

The new alfresco dining fees are based on four fee zones in the city and are detailed in Schedule 4 of the Alfresco Dining Policy and include 10% GST. Use of parking embayments in Northbridge for alfresco dining will be charged at 60% of the scheduled fee.

Notes:


Any alfresco operation that is associated with a restaurant that has 50 seats or more within the restaurant premises, will be given a 30% reduction in the abovementioned fees.

Only the holder of a Liquor Licence may sell alcoholic beverages in a licensed premises. With the consent of the City of Perth, the holder of a Liquor Licence may be issued with an extended trading permit which allows the sale and supply of liquor on a road or footpath.
